What is the eligibility criteria to apply for a Singapore PR?
S Pass, Employment Pass, Personalised Employment Pass or Entrepreneur Pass holders.

Aged parents of a Singapore Citizen.

How long does it take to process my Singapore PR application?
In order to build up a profile that is ready for submission, it usually takes around 2-3 months. As for ICA’s processing time, it usually takes between 4-6 months.

What is the approval percentage like?
Each case is unique, and we don't treat them the same. Hence, after an in-depth assessment of your complete profile through the initial consultation, we can explain both your current chances and how they can be improved.

If my application for Singapore PR is successful, how will I know?
ICA will notify all successful PR applications and require them to schedule an appointment via the ICA website or their mobile app (eAppt@ICA).

My friend had his Singapore PR application approved but I got rejected. Why?
With ICA, each and every case is being accessed accordingly based on their merits and overall profile. There are many reasons why your PR application got rejected. Make an appointment with us today to understand further about your chances.

What can I do after I receive the rejection letter from ICA?
You will be required to wait 6 months before submitting your next application. This is a great opportunity to start building your profile with us to ensure you are in the top percentage during the ICA selection process.

What if I’m unable to find my educational certificates for my Singapore PR application?
If you’re unable to provide your educational certificates or transcripts, our team at U Solutions Immigration will be able to draft a declaration letter to explain their absence.

Should I apply for Singapore PR as a single-applicant or a family?

Ties of Kinship is one of the key areas for your Singapore PR application. If you reside in Singapore with your spouse/children, it will be recommended that you apply together as a family’s application. This is a situational basis as there are other key factors that ICA look into for a strong PR candidate. Speak to our consultants to have the best advice moving forward.

How much does it cost for your service?
For quotation of service fees, we will only be able to quote you during the consultation itself as it depends on the complexity of your case.

Will I have to serve National Service when I am granted a PR status?
Only descendants of the main applicant are required to serve national service.

In accordance with the Enlistment Act, all male adult Singaporean Citizens and PRs must register for National Service (NS), unless exempted. In addition to the mandatory service, they will perform up to 40 days of Operationally Ready National Service (ORNS) every year throughout the course of the ORNS training cycle, until the age of 50 (for officers in the army) or 40 for the remaining members of the armed forces.

The primary applicants whose PR status is granted under the PTS or GIP schemes are exempt from NS.

Under the Enlistment Act, male applicants with PR status as a foreign student or under the sponsorship of their parents are subject to NS. They must register for NS at the age of 16 and will be listed at the earliest opportunity after becoming 18 years old. If they are seeking full-time studies, a deferment may be granted if they meet the deferment conditions specified by the Ministry of Defence. NS-liable males aged 13 and above who intend to remain overseas for more than three months must obtain an Exit Permit (EP).

All PRs with NS-liable status are required to serve NS. Renouncing or losing your PR status without serving or completing NS would harm any future scholarships or employment opportunities in Singapore. Your future Singapore citizenship or PR status as well as your and your sponsor's renewal applications for Re-entry Permits will also be at risk.

What happens if my company does not support my PR application and is unwilling to provide Annex A?
Please inform us and our team at U Solutions Immigration will be able to draft a declaration letter to explain their absence.

If I'm planning to have a change in career, should I wait till I settle down into my new career before applying for a PR?

If you generally don't change jobs that often, it won't affect your application; in fact, getting a promotion or an increased salary is always desirable to ICA. The important thing is to be seen as a responsible and stable candidate.
